🎓 My BTech Journey in Cybersecurity – The Unfiltered Truth

When I first stepped into college for my BTech in Cybersecurity, I was excited. Not because of the classroom benches or daily lectures — but because I knew what I wanted. Cybersecurity. Ethical hacking. That spark of curiosity. That rush of finding vulnerabilities and protecting digital worlds. That was it for me.
Right now, I’m in my 2nd year at Techno International, and honestly — the college experience hasn’t been all sunshine and roses. The vibe? Not it. The infrastructure? Average. The energy? Sometimes it feels like a drained battery. But despite all this, I hold on. Why? Because I’m not here just for a degree. I’m here for what I love — Cybersecurity.
From day one, I’ve been obsessed with understanding how systems work — and how they can be broken. My favorite moments aren’t chilling in the canteen or walking around campus. It's that moment when I finally crack a concept, solve a problem, or spend hours learning about network security, malware, ethical hacking, and penetration testing. That’s the real thrill.
But let me be honest — the struggle is real.
The college may teach you the theory, but the real grind happens outside class. Late nights, online tutorials, self-practice, real-world projects — that’s where the magic happens. If you're expecting your college to do it all for you, don’t. I’d recommend going for a Tier-1 college if you’re serious about Cybersecurity. But even if you're stuck in a mid-tier one like me, don’t lose hope. Your hustle defines your future, not your college ranking.
I spend every day walking into campus thinking about my goal — to become a professional ethical hacker. I want to explore everything from red teaming to digital forensics. It’s not about chasing marks; it’s about chasing mastery.
Final Thoughts đź’»
This journey is not easy, but it’s worth it. I’m not here to sugarcoat anything. College might suck sometimes. Your device might lag. Your environment might not support your dreams. But if you know what you want — you’ll get there.
To anyone reading this who feels stuck — just remember:
Keep going. Keep hacking. Keep learning. Your future is being coded one day at a time.
